The
holy land of Vrindavan is situated 12 km north west of Mathura.
Its geographical location on the globe is 27.33 N and 77.41 E Just
by Pronouncing the name Vrindavan our hearts fill with joy. This
is because of the intimate association of Sri Krishna with
Vrindavan.
Vrindavan lies in the heart of the region called Brij.
It is the pilgrimage where Sri Radha & Krishna had
performed their Leelas, eons ago. This sacred land has been
defined as the body of God in the book Padma Purana Since years,
Vrindavan has been the devotional centre of religious people.
Several great luminaries like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Swami
Haridas, Sri Hit Harivansh, Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya etc.
have done a lot to develop Vrindavan as the most religious place
of the world Thousands of religious people have chosen to live in
Vrindavan for the rest of teir lives after retirement. There is no
doubt that Vrindavan with its rich religion & cultural heritage
was once the most favourite abode of Lord Krishna.
